For anyone who is new here, I run a number of successful digital download stores on Etsy, alongside many other digital product side-hustles. One of them – Planprintland I share publicly. As you can see in my 2022 income report, I made a total of $82,053 AUD ($56,670 USD) in my printable planner store.

This shop was very low on my priorities in 2022, with only 10-15 hours maximum spent on the shop each month. This averages out to around $1578 AUD ($1041) USD per week and is a very lucrative income for how little work is needed to maintain the store.

I started my second Etsy store in January 2022 as a new year project. At this stage, I do not publicly share the name of or the products sold in this shop. In its first year, this shop earned $78,187 AUD ($54,007 USD) which averages around $1503 AUD ($991 USD). In 2023, the sales have well overtaken my first Etsy shop.

On average in 2022, my Etsy stores were bringing in on Average $3081 AUD ($2032 USD) per week. This number has increased slightly at the time of writing this article (June 2023). Both stores remain extremely profitable, and easy to run as side projects. 

How much other shops make selling digital products on Etsy

I am by no means the highest volume seller of digital products on Etsy. There are dozens if not hundreds of shops selling greater volumes than me. For the following research, I used a keyword research tool called Everbee. 

If you are looking to start a profitable digital product store, signing up for and learning a tool such as Everbee is a must. Researching products is one of the most important aspects of creating products customers are actually searching for. Everbee has a free tier, which is great for new sellers.

Please note, tools such as these use public data only – meaning income is estimated and often sales are not taken into account. However, they do give a good rough estimate, which can be great when guiding new shop owners.  The crazy thing is – the shops mentioned in this article arent even the top sellers on Etsy. How much AmethystGarnet makes selling digital planners on Etsy

AmethystGarnet is, in my opinion, one of the most successful digital shops on Etsy. They focus on selling digital planners, and have made over 150,000 sales in just over 3 years. As you can see, the top 20 products (out of 284) are bringing in over $50,000 PER MONTH. Absolutely crazy numbers and highly motivating for anyone looking to Etsy as a full time income. Their most popular digital planner, which has been featured on CNN and Rolling Store, brings in over $25,000 each month!

How much FallonTravels makes selling Lightroom Presets on Etsy

FallonTravels is a shop on Etsy with over 105000 sales on Etsy selling Adobe Lightroom Presets. On average, FallonTravels sells approximately 400 lightroom presets a week. At $6 each, they are pulling in around $2400 a week, or a slightly over $10000 per month. Not bad!

FallonTravels is an example of selling higher quantity, for lower prices, rather than higher priced items less frequently. They have over 240 products, many of which sell in low multiples each month. Rather than relying on one product for most of their income, their sales are spread over many of the products in the Etsy store.

How much CitraGraphics makes selling SVG Bundles on Etsy

CitraGraphics is a shop that is absolutely killing it on Etsy. They focus on Selling SVG files for Cricut cut machines. With over 700 products, many of which sell multiples of each month, CitraGraphics has managed to amass over 271000 sales in just over 2 and a half years. This equates to almost 300 sales every day, since the store has opened. 

The top selling product sells almost 1000 times per month, bringing in over $15,000 alone. The top 20 products easily bring in over $25,000 and I can’t even begin to calculate the total monthly income. I would once again guess that they are easily clearing $50,000 per month, if not more.

How much TheWeeklyCrew makes selling Excel Spreadsheets on Etsy

The TheWeeklyCrew make their money by selling Budget & Planning Spreadsheets on Etsy. The crazy thing is – they only have 27 products at the time of writing. However, they are easily clearing $30,000 per month, with almost every product making over $500 per month. These are highly motivating numbers, and show that you do not have to be a designer to sell digital products on Etsy.

How much ToyStoryPatternsAU makes selling Crochet Patterns on Etsy

ToyStoryPatternsAU sells digital crochet patterns. With over 50000 sales, they have chosen an in-demand niche and are clearly making thousands each month. Their top seller alone (A crochet pattern of a dog), sells over 1200 each month, brining in a 5 figure income by itself.

Overall, ToyStoryPatternsAU is easily clearing $30,000 per month and is a very lucrative business. Again, the listing count is not anything too extreme (83 products), but is more than enough to make 5 figures each and every month. Well done!
