Running a successful digital product business requires the right tools and software. I have used a LOT of software – anything to speed up my process is a welcome addition. This article covers only the best Software for Creating and Selling Digital Products
In almost any case, there will be a large range of options (both free and paid), which can be overwhelming. In this article, I will be going over the software I currently use. I will update this list as my process changes.
Etsy Software
Everbee
I use EverBee as my main keyword Etsy research tool. It is very intuitive, easy to use and has all the data you need to research keywords and competitors. At one stage, I used every Etsy tool I could get my hands on. Now, its EverBee Only.

Kit (Formerly ConverKit)
I use Kit as my main email marketing software for my digital product shops. The Automation is amazing, it is compatible with Shopify and the landing page designer is awesome. It lets me send freebies automatically when users sign up to my email list which has helped me grow my list to over 45,000 people!

I use Beehiiv for my email newsletters that aren’t directly linked to digital product shops (such as this website). The main reason being – it is cheaper than Kit. If your main focus is selling digital products, I would go with Kit. If you are building an email newsletter and have less focus on selling products, go with Beehiiv.

Shopify
Shopify is by FAR the best ecommerce website for selling digital products. It is fast, good for SEO and very easy to use and set up (even for non-technical users). If you get stuck, there are 1000’s of tutorials on YouTube for everything!

Shuttle is an awesome app that allows you to sync your shop with Etsy. Importantly – it allows you to bring all your reviews from Etsy and get them as verified reviews on your Shopify store. My conversion rate almost tripled after doing this!

One limitation of Shopify is that it cant natively handle digital products. Sky pilot is by far the best solution out there – Simple, high performing, and extremely affordable for the functionality that it provides.

There are hundreds of review apps available. Judg.me looks great, doesnt slow your site down, has great support and handles very well with Shuttle.

GeneratePress
GeneratePress is the theme I use across all my websites (including this one). It is extremely fast and simple to use. It is definalye one of the most used themes (for a reason) – but you can still customise it to make your site work for you.

GenerateBlocks is a block builder extension that extends the functionality of GeneratePress and allows you to fully customise your site. It goes without saying, that they work together seamlessly. It has a huge pattern library – meaning you don’t have to build from scratch if you need a quick site.

Publisher CHAMP
It still amazes me every day just how bad Amazon KDPs reporting is. Publisher CHAMP not only fixes Amazons problems, but also allows you to link adds from Amazon, Meta and connect all other publishing platforms. It is a true gem of a platform for anyone looking to take publishing seriously.

Publisher rocket is the best keyword and competitor research tool available for amazon KDP. The good thing about it is it is a one time purchase ($199), meaning if you take your publishing business seriously it will end up costing you less than most software. You can easily make this back with one well researched book.

Adobe Creative Cloud
For 99% of my design work, I use the Adobe Creative Cloud sweet of tools (Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign). It is by no means for beginners and is quite expensive. Unless you intend on doing graphic design full time, it is hard to reccomend for beginners.
