Fortunately, Etsy provides a wealth of data about its shops, offering valuable insights into key metrics like sales numbers, shop age, and the number of listings. This article takes a look at the Top 10 Digital Product Stores on Etsy (in terms of total sales).

In this article I will talk about all 10 Etsy shops, the products they sell and even show you their best selling product. I will also analyse what makes each of these shops successful, and outline how you can learn from each of them. My key takeaways can be found at the end of the article, which I strongly suggest you read if you wish to get the most out of this research.

Amazingly, each of these shops have made over 400,000 sales with many bringing in millions of dollars worth of sales in their shops lifetime.

All data from this article is public information which in some areas may contain estimates (especially with revenue). This data was collected using Erank, which is an extremely valuable Etsy keyword research tool which I use almost daily.

10. MintyPaperieShop

Ranked at number 10, MintyPaperieShop specializes in editable templates with a focus on wedding and bridal themes. I must admit, her products are beautiful and I can see why she is so successful! Having been around for almost 8 years, they have managed to create and upload 5525 listings at the time of writing.

MintyPaperieShop uses Templett, a popular third party design service that allows customers to edit and customise their products online without the need to install any software or fonts.

With 405,633 over an 8 year period, MintyPaperieShop has averaged 140 sales per day each and every day it has been opened. With most products costing between $5 and $20, its safe to estimate this shop is making multiple 6 figures each and every year.

MintyPaperieShop’s has one of the most impressive best sellers on this list. The item is a Bridesmaid Info Card Template. According to Erank, this listing alone has made 7,482 sales, and brought in a whopping $74,745! For a listing that is less than 2 years old, this product has made around $30,000 each year!

9. UnmeasuredEvent

Just like MintyPaperieShop, UnmeasuredEvent Sells Editable Templates. They do however have a much broader range of products and expand out of the bridal niche.

UnmeasuredEvent boasts over 409,350 sales during a 7 year period, averaging 161 sales each day. Again, the quality of the products speak for themselves and prove that good design and hard work will pay off in the long run.

An interesting strategy they they use is to also run a Zazzle shop. They direct customers over to Zazzle who desire printing as part of their purchase. Zazzle will print and ship on their behalf, meaning that they get the best of both worlds. People who only want the digital files will purchase through Etsy and print themselves at home. Customers who do not have a printer can purchase through Zazzle, and will have their products printed and shipped with not extra work necessary for the store owner.

UnmeasuredEvent Best Seller

Funnily enough, Unmeasured Events Best Selling Product is also a Bridesmaid Info Card. The design is different enough to appeal to a different set of customers – but is also very similar to the one above. With 4,570 and an estimated $31,944, this one product could mean life-changing money for most people.

There is a big lesson to be learned here: Multiple stores, and even multiple products aimed at the same customer, can be successful. Most new sellers are apprehensive that Etsy is too crowded. Looking at this one coincidence alone is enough to say otherwise. What are the chances that the 10th and 9th most successful digital product stores on Etsy, both have the same best selling product and in general sell similar items?

There is enough room for Everyone on Etsy. Even subtle design changes can make a customer choose your product over another shops.

8. KatherineDream

KatherineDream have made their fortune by selling presets for Adobe Lightroom. Despite quite a niche product, they have managed to make over 429,550 sales in just over 5 years. Even more impressively, unlike the rest of the shops on this list – they have managed to do so with just 206 listings!

KatherineDream offers a LOT of value. Rather than selling individual presets, most of the products with come with 5-10 presets for an extremely affordable price. They also offer an ‘All in one’ bundle with more than 5000 Lightroom presets.

With over 28,100 sales, KatherineDream has the most impressive best seller on this list – bringing in close to $85,000 in revenue for this single product. The product is a pack of 18 mobile Lightroom presets, targeting Influencers. The product alone has brought in over 2500 Etsy reviews, which is more than most shops will receive in their lifetime! The listing is clearly optimised for a high conversion rate, with awesome before and after photos showing the presets in action.

7. SVGCUTTABLES

Like the name suggests, SVGCUTTABLES make a living by selling SVG Files, Silhouette, and Cricut files. Most of their products seem to be targeted at other sellers looking to make their own products OR customers who like designing their own apparel.

In just over 8 years, they have managed to rack up 482,882 sales on Etsy, however they also have their own website too brining in a substantial of sales. Again with over 3,250 listings and many of the products being bundles, a lot of work has gone into making this store one of the top selling digital product stores on Etsy.

SVGCUTTABLES Best Seller

With over 3,895 sales and an approximate revenue of $15,541, SVGCUTTABLES best seller is probably the most interesting on the List. Their best seller is a T-shirt alignment tool. SVGCUTTABLES have done what any shop owner should aspire to do: Solve a need of their customer base. They understand that many of their customers are purchasing their SVG’s to create apparel, and have built a tool to help them do so. It is an easy upsell, and it is clearly why this is the product with the most sales in their shop.

6. SewSweetParadise

At number 6, we have another shop selling SVGs, PNG’s and Embroidery Designs. Again these products seem to be targeted at other product creators and sellers. After just over 9 Years on Etsy, they have managed to make over 500,000 sales! With an average of 122 sales per day (the lowest on our list), this shop is still making almost $1000 per day!

SewSweetParadise Best Seller

Anyone who has ever spent a bit of time selling online, knows how unpredictable it can be. You can spend weeks creating a product only for it to never sell, and you can knock something up in a few minutes or hours and have it take off. My best seller (which as sold over 4000 times) was one of these cases. I suspect the best seller for SewSweetParadise is the same.

A simple, SVG Monogram typeface is the product in question. With 15,618 sales and around $62,315 in revenue, I can almost guarantee the owners would have no idea how successful this product would become when they first went to upload it to Etsy. Granted, the listing is almost 4 years old so it has has some time to grow – but this also means there is still 10s of thousands of dollars to be made with this product.

5. Prettygrafikdesign

At number 5 we have Prettygrafikdesign, which again sells Graphics, SVG’s and Digital Patterns. At a quick glance, this shop has some very cute items and I can see why it’s going so well. With 510,393 sales, you can only imagine how much this shop has brought in over it’s lifetime.

Prettygrafikdesign is the oldest shop on the list, being almost 11.5 years old at the time of writing – meaning it has had a bit more time than the others to grow. Still, managing to maintain average of 122 sales each and every day for 11 and a half years might be one of the more impressive things about this shop. Again, the listing count is solid with 2848 products listed.

Similar to SewSweetParadise’s best seller, you can imagine the owner didn’t realise hoe much this one item would bring in at the time of upload. With 2777 sales and an impressive $18,050 in revenue, this solar system clip art takes out the prize. It should be noted that many of the products in this store have thousands or hundreds of sales, and 2nd place isn’t too far behind. Income from this shop is spread over more products.

4. PixelPerfectionParty

Coming in at number 4 is PixelPerfectionParty, a shop selling Printable Invitations and Party Paper Goods. The range and styles in the store is impressive, and with 5657 listings you can bet there is at least one item that will cater to everyone looking to buy printable invitations and associated goods.

Over 9 Years, the shop has managed to make 547,958 sales. Looking at the prices of most of the items in the shop, I can bet on this being one of the highest earning stores on this list. While many shops on this list have boosted sales numbers by selling ‘cheap’ products, this shop is making great money on each product sold.

PixelPerfectionParty Best Seller

With 4,240 sales and approximately £21,200 in revenue, the top seller for this Etsy shop is a baby shower welcome sign. This is the perfect product we as a sellers hope will become popular in our shops. As long as women continue to have babies, and host baby showers, then this product will continue to sell. Not only that, babies (and hence baby showers) are born every single day of the year. This is known as an evergreen product and having one become popular on Etsy could mean a big payday for your shop.

3. MyPorchPrints

MyPorchPrints sell Junk Journal and Craft Printables. With just 943 Listings, MyPorchPrints have managed to sell 690,118 products in 7 years, averaging 256 sales per day. Again, the average price of each item in the store brings the daily income to an extremely impressive amount. You can see a lot of hard work and a unique style in each of their products.

The bestseller in MyPorchPrints is a mini folio craft kit. It truly encompass the look and the feel of the shop, and you can get a good idea of what the shop sells from this one single product.

My porch prints has dozens of products in the 1000-3000 sales range. It has a good spread of products brining in a large chunk of change, which has definitely lead to the success of the shop.

2. DigitalCurio

Jumping up to 811,579 sales is DigitalCurio – an Etsy store that specialises in selling Commercial Use Clipart and Graphics. With 5706 listings and an average sales volume of 226 per day, you can still see the shop owner working hard after almost 10 years.

DigitalCurio has a section labeled ‘NEW last 30 Days’, which tracks the new products added to the shop. At the time of reading, this section has 72 products, meaning that DigitalCurio has uploaded more than 2 products per day for the last month. Pretty impressive for a store that is 10 years old!

At first glance, DigitalCurios top selling product looks just like any other in the shop. The product is a set of fairy lights pngs. This product has sold 2,093 times and made approximately $8937. Like the previous shop, there are countless products that have sold thousands of times – which makes sense for a shop with 5,706 products and over 811,000 sales.

1. HeatherRobertsArt

Taking out the number one spot is a shop that is impressive for more than one reason. HeatherRobertsArt is currently sitting at 924,212 sales. Not only does it take out the number one Digital Shop on Etsy in the world, but it ranks number 12 globally against all Etsy stores. Impressive huh?

Even more impressively, the shop is only 1,409 days (just less than 4 years old) – the youngest shop on this list. If you are unable to do the napkin math on that one, Heather Roberts Art has made an average of 655 sales every single day. Granted, a lot of the items in the shop are very affordable – this is still a MASSIVE amount of money being earned each day.

In fact, between researching and writing this article – one day passed. During that time the sales increased by over 1800. The trajectory means this store is increasing the average amount of sales with each day that passes.

You should probably have a look for yourself if youve gotten this far – but HeatherRobertsArt sell SVG’s, Clipart, Mega Bundles and Commercial Use Licences for all their products.

With over 21,497 sales and an estimated revenue of $71,370, the best seller for HeatherRobertsArt is an alphabet monogram SVG. Again a simple product which happened to take off, and again aimed at apparel creators and other sellers.

What Can we Learn from the top 10 Etsy Sellers?

After spending a few days researching and writing these articles, there are a lot of takeaways to be had. Whether you are a new seller, or one with an already established shop, there are lessons to be learned by looking at others. Here are my main takeways:

1. Do your research

This is less a learning from the other shops, and more a learning from the whole experience of writing the article. Despite spending hundreds of hours on Erank over the past 4 years as an Etsy seller, I had been soley focused on my OWN shop. I had never even thought of looking at the top Etsy shops, or what they were selling.

My best seller has sold 4000 times, so I knew that some products take off more than others.

I had no idea some products would sell more than 28000 times! Almost half of my own shops numbers over 4 years. These numbers are absolutely CRAZY, and show me there is still a lot of room for improvement.

I will put aside a some time each week to look at more top sellers – look through their products and best sellers not only for my own research, but as a form of inspiration that there will always be another level to reach.

I use both Erank and Everbee in my research. Both are great in their own right, and neither will break the bank. If you don’t use a keyword research tool, I strongly suggest you consider signing up to at least one.

2. Keep Uploading Products | Be Consistent

Besides one outlier on the list, all 10 of the top Etsy digital product shops have thousands of listings. None of them got to where they are by uploading a few hundred products and calling it a day.

All these shops, despite some being over 10 years old – continue to create and upload listings almost daily.

I, on the other hand have around 550 products and haven’t uploaded in months. Granted, I do run multiple businesses. But this should be no excuse, and I will again start creating and uploading in my goal to reach new grounds.

3. The Older the shop, The More Time It Has To Make Sales

This sounds obvious. And so it should be. Almost of these shops are older than 6 years. They have had time to upload thousands of listings and make hundreds of thousands of sales. Etsy is a marathon – not a sprint.

So, if you are waiting around for the ‘perfect time’ to start your shop – just know that there is no better time than today to open your shop and start uploading.

4. There is plenty of room for new sellers on Etsy

One thing that holds potential new sellers back, is the idea that Etsy is already too crowded. It’s true that there are more sellers than ever, but sales are continuing to happen in unimaginable numbers. Just between the top 10 shops, almost 6 million sales have been made. Hundreds of millions of digital product sales happen every year on Etsy. You will have your chance if you put in the effort.

5. Multiple Variations Of A Product Can Be Successful

As you saw almost instantly – shops number 10 and 9 had an almost identical best seller. It’s easy to think that only one shop will dominate each product – but that is not true at all. Both of these shops seem to have made insane money off almost the same item. As long as you are not blatantly copying other stores, feel free to recreate best sellers with your own twist and see how they perform.

6. Etsy Involves a Bit Of Luck

As we have seen by some of the Best Sellers on the list – some listings will just take off. It is difficult to guess which ones it will be.

How can we use this in our favour? Again it comes down to the same thing as point number 2. List more. The more you list, the more products in your shop that have the chance to get lucky!

7. Build an Email List
